[Day 2 in KL] After checking in our second hotel, our first stop of the day was visit Tommy's new joint. He moved from the old place last Dec to this neighbourhood place which will be challenging to find even for the Grab driver. Housed within the same compound as a gift shop Naiise at Kampong Attap area, I thought the idea was very interesting. Could tell they have very strong supporters and many regulars while we were there.

Ordered the Ribeye Sourdough and Camembert Cheese Sourdough. Ribeye was yummy but the cheese one was a little dry cos no tomatoes to moist the bread. If you're not a Sourdough bread fan, you might not like it. We ordered 2 more lattes (auto machine), one set of Almond Financiers (Nice and chewy) and a Rum & Raisin Ice Cream. Total bill was around RM$80+. Definitely not mainstream cheap but Tommy came a long way. Go try it when in KL! Support artisanal!

[Day 2 in KL] Checked out this much talked about place Restoran Yut Kee. We were lucky cos when we were there, there wasn't much of a queue so it was easy to fit 2 pax. We were super lucky also because they just opened yesterday only after a 3 week break!

We ordered their Signature Pork Chop and Curry Chicken Mee. Pork chop tasted ok to me, well seasoned and deep fried in an egg batter which I thought was interesting. It absorbs the sauce better with every bite! Curry Chicken Mee tasted good especially the chicken which were cook to tender. But this curry soup is the typical Malaysian style, Singaporeans might not be use to it cos looks watery.

Day 1 in KL. 5 course dinner... hawker that is! Lot 10 Hutong Food Court brought together a collaborative effort of KL's best hawker fares. While some still hold the quality, some has gone to the dark side. But it's a good benchmark for your exploration for good local food in KL. So if you have little time like I do, a visit here might be good.

[Day 1 in KL] Lunch part 2 yesterday. Yes self-service Chye Peng. Take as much as you want the dishes you love! Taste wise, ok only. Very homely though cos of the aunties. Very friendly.

[Day 1 in KL] Lunch part 1 yesterday was very challenging. Found a street with yummy char kway teow (RM$6) with more than 60 years history. Mee Rebus (RM$5) also tasted very traditional with potato cubes in it. Just when the food reached, it stormed badly and I had to hang on to the big umbrella cos the other one flew off! A good half an hour... what a memorable lunch! Diana was laughing all the way and call me Guardians of the Galaxy. You can't get more real food with these. Totally local, totally Malaysian.

Last lunch yesterday in Shanghai over different cuts of beef served on a cow-shaped platter. Beef was fresh and tasty but cannot be compared to Japan's.

Haven't met my helper for more than 6 years already ever since I left Shanghai for Suzhou. So decided to get her some Bak Kwa and also bring her out to lunch.
