Gujarati mag! Mung beans cooked with a carefully selected blend of Indian spices. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of cooking this nutritious comfort food as it brought back memories of my Ba (grandmother). I also recently read Thich Nhat Hanh's "How to Eat" and watched Netflix's Chef's Table episode featuring Jeong Kwan. I love what both have to say about cooking and food, and I'm learning to be more mindful when I cook. I highly recommend both the book and episode. Please let me know in the comments or message me if you have recommendations for another Chef's Table episode or for any other books/documentaries/etc!
I’m having fun in the kitchen developing new recipes to share with you guys! Today I tried achari chicken which is a thick masala chicken curry with pulverised lime and mango pickle added to it! The pickled lime and mango bring an unusual flavour as you don’t expect the chicken to have a delicate flavour of pickle but then you can’t stop taking spoonfuls of it! The spices which are added to the pickle really help elevate this full bodied, voluptuous chicken achari!
So much street food in one picture. Order these fantastic delicacies from Narsing Chat, Hyderabad through @swiggyindia !😀 Everything from Aloo Toast to Sandwiches to Grilled Sandwiches and Bhel was mind blowing! #foodtrottingwithswiggy#swiggyindia

A perfect example of "Style over Substance" is this dish from Whitefield Social. This stylised thing was supposed to be a 'Massaman Curry', but it tasted like every other general Thai Red/Green/Yellow curry 😪 The one I had in Nasi and Mee was soooo much better.

Tried my hands on Sindhi cuisine. I personally found it neither too spicy nor too bland . Just the right amount of spice to make your lips smack! As known worldwide Sindhi cuisine has been developed by Sindhis who were migrants from Sind (Pakistan),this one had an influence of Mughals as well. If you examine the curry or gravy , it is not too watery but a semi thick well blended spicy gravy. Loved how they beautifully combined the raita, Kucchumber and naan . Very small joint in the lanes of Malad, where this one won our hearts. Where: zafire express
