After a 5km run on a Sunday night, all you need is comfort in a bowl.. which in my case was this hybrid pasta..Why that moniker u ask?
So the other day we went to #marchesg for dinner & had the #veggie pasta there in cream sauce which tasted like boiled pasta in water..! Yes it was that bland..& since then I was craving for a good creamy pasta dish & Mr.Vj wanted to have pasta in pesto sauce .. So then this Hybrid #Pasta came into existence. ..
I made some #pesto with fresh basil, green peas, a clove of garlic, cashew nuts(& the basic stuff like olive oil, salt). I then tossed asparagus & cherry tomatoes with chopped garlic in EVOO till they became a little crispy & tender. Made a fresh batch of béchamel sauce, added boiled #capellini (or otherwise known as angel hair pasta ) to it & the green peas pesto. Threw in the garlicky #asparagus,#tomatoes, some #jalapeños along with the chilli flakes, & salt. I then finished it off with a bunch of rocket leaves before serving it in the bowls.. You can add some Italian herbs if you want otherwise it tastes delicious like that too.. ..
I was very confident that I was making some kind of a mess here, but the so called “hybrid pasta” tasted pretty good actually it was very good..!!
Is this some kind of a recipe which already exists or it’s new for you as well??
Have you tried something similar before?? If yes then please throw some light on this.. TIA & a happy #Monday 🤗
