IMPECCABLE. You know, sometimes I’m unsure whether I should just skip dinner altogether before coming to @miann_fortstreet or @miann_britomart . Everything on their A la Carte Menu are impeccable and always a hit. They look great, taste great and come in generous servings for a luxury dessert restaurant. I love their balloons that have an icey, cool refreshing shell that you can break into, exposing a heavenly sorbet (or gelato) that is all accompanied by ripe, succulent fruits scattered around. The first time trying it was a fun and memorable experience, something you must try! Their Crème brûlée is also to die for, as it has the perfectly crunchy caramelised sugar above a bed of silky, smooth custard. It seems as though so many places aren’t able to get the top layer of caramelised sugar crunchy enough for my liking but Miann gets it just right. And if you don’t have room for the A la Carte Menu, there is a large range to choose from, starting with Petit Gateaux, to Gelato, Macarons & Bon Bons. The staff are really friendly and great at reciting menus, introducing words I’ve never heard of before to make me even more confused as to what I’m supposed to choose (perhaps a bit more detail in the menu would be good). Miann is a true gem of Auckland CBD that is conveniently located in Britomart and Fort St.
