I made this video a little less than a year ago after finally pursuing my goal to learn headstands. I have a weird relationship with inversions... i was the only kid who couldn’t do a cartwheel and i took it really personally for way too many years, convincing myself I just wasn’t coordinated enough. Once i changed my mindset, it only took a month of practicing a couple times a week to find my strength, and then another month to get off the wall and get comfortable with falling. A year later, I’m back at it, working on forearm stands and hand stands! The tricky thing with inversions is that it’s usually not a question of strength, it’s a question of trust. Trusting that you’ll be okay if you fall, and that you’ll eventually find your balance upside down (and then probably fall some more). This is such a metaphor for what I’m going through with starting my own business. Kind of cheesy i know, but when you fall or when you feel insecure, it’s important to look back and realize the things you have accomplished by changing your mindset. For instance, I never thought I’d already have a full design course available online within 6 months of starting my business, and yet here i am! 👇🏼👇🏼 What are you guys working on right now? How have you changed your mindset to achieve your goals??
