It’s easy for food to taste good from layers of butter, fat, or crispyness, but with healthy superfoods, there’s nothing to hide. Tractor (@tractorfoods) is everyday healthy food that brings everything down to raw basics. The contemporary cafeteria-style concept is fitting for corporate Downtown Vancouver life.
A simple pleasure of feasting on veggie salads is not feeling guilty afterwards! Bring on the portions and chomp down on those nutrients! Lunch trifecta incoming! On left, wild mushrooms, ditalini pasta, truffled ricotta cheese, and fresh herbs. Nothing but the raw freshness of the natural tangs of the cheese and herbs. Smack a 4oz Albacore tuna steak on top of the pile to quell carnivorous urges and you’ll have a peppery warm melt-in-your-mouth feel. On middle, smoked paprika chickpeas, roasted squash, parsley, and mint yogurt dressing with almond dukkah. Traditionally Egyptian, the dukkah mixes in well by adding hearty autumn memories of chickpeas and squash. On right, green peas, julienne snap peas, crushed red potatoes, mint and basil, and lemon dressing. Lean green nutrient machines. Everything about a healthy hearty experience is here; lots of spoonfuls, lemon zest and freshness that brings you back to a real farm.
Lesson learned: big picture ideas start with big picture foods. If all feasting carnivores had one meal once in a while dedicated to vegetables instead of meat, the world would be a little better. Cheers to Paul (@pauldavidescu) and Bo (@bomacy) of Tangoo (@tangoonights) for opening up the world a little more with this meal!
