Sooooooo, this is what became of the pretty rainbow cake from earlier in the week. My very first unicorn cake but with a little twist.
I've been itching to make one of these!
This monochrome little beauty is made of those vibrant, moist, lemony rainbow layers, filled with lemon curd and creamy lemon buttercream. It's then been covered in midnight black fondant, fondant smiling eyes added to the front, topped with a handmade, edible, shimmery horn, fondant ears and swirls upon swirls of creamy lemon buttercream in shades of grey and white and dotted with fondant, shimmery stars.
