Part of why I created Our Loud Hearts - the daylong music/dance/art festival that I’m curating on Oct. 13 - dedicated to the rising of #womensvoices , was the desire to feature my incredible clients, colleagues + friends who are musicians, artists, dancers + creatives.
One thing I’ve gathered from supporting these talented women over the years, is that their brilliance, as women, doesn’t get featured nearly enough - so I really wanted to create a platform that could honor and put the spotlight FULLY on them.
Over the next few weeks I’ll be featuring these amazing ladies via social media, and the first QUEEN I’d like to shine the spotlight on is one of my dear friends (and one of the first singer/songwriters I ever supported as a leadership coach), Adrienne Mehri Shamszad.
I still remember the day I first set ears on this incredible woman at the Fenix nightclub in San Rafael.
Adrienne’s unique blend of folk, soul, blues and eastern influenced improvisational vocals completely intoxicated me...we quickly became friends, then collaborated on expanding her business + leadership together, then brought her in as a guest where she sang and led #circlesinging at a number of my retreats and gatherings. 💕
Adrienne is an Oakland native of Persian heritage who’s traveled extensively studying music, theatre and dance throughout Asia, India and the Middle East.
Her mission is clear: to weave together the threads of her study and creativity into an original music fabric that moves and inspires audiences.
I am SO so looking forward to featuring this gorgeous goddess at Our Loud Hearts and to join this incredible community, visit the link in my profile or www.ourloudhearts.com...we’d be honored to share this special day with you and have your presence there! 💖
