Thankfully this book includes a myriad of sauces and condiments which I’ve been missing because most condiments contain FODMAPS like onions and garlic. I was diagnosed with IBS in 2007, and despite being a nutrition student and then a dietitian, I could not find the right plan to get rid of uncomfortable embarrassing symptoms!
.
After years of experimentation and research, I figured it out and got myself out of the bathroom and back to my normal life.
.
Symptoms come and go, but they have never been as bad as they once were. And most days I feel healthy, happy and symptom free. Now I share what worked for me in my program. And it’s life changing! Yay!

Tonight’s no-plan plan. 💛
.
As I didn’t really have a plan for supper, I decided to see what I could use up in my kitchen and this is what happened. 🤗
.
For 3 servings, I used roughly:
- 1 cup leftover roasted chicken
- 200 g green beans (75 g is a LoFOD serve)
- 1 Tbsp. @organicvalley ghee
- 1 Tbsp. @fodyfoods garlic-infused olive oil
- 1 pkg. @taste_republic GF fettuccine
- 1 lemon, juice of
- nutritional yeast, to taste (adds great plant-based cheese flavor & B-vitamins)
- salt, to taste
- red pepper flakes, to taste

To make, I sautéed green beans in ghee & olive oil. Then I added chicken and cooked it until it was warm. While that was happening I cooked the pasta, drained it and then added it to the beans & chicken. To finish, I stirred in lemon juice and topped it all with nutritional yeast, salt & red pepper flakes 👌🏽

Weirdly fruit seems to be one of the most tricky items to eat. Too much not good, certain fruits not good. Dried fruit often not good. Thought it was meant to be healthy?! For me, trying to avoid fructose, apples and pears are big no’s. Better stick to chocolate.

And you can’t go wrong. The more color on your plate, the more nutritional value. Variety and balance are key 🔑 .
This plate is loaded with veggies 🍅 🥒, healthy fats 🥑 and protein 🍳 with a small amount of carbohydrate. .
I was talking to one of my clients last night about how amazing it is that zucchini EVERYTHING and cauliflower EVERYTHING are replacing carbohydrates 🍝 🥖 in so many meals! .
Finally we are more aware and headed in a better direction 🆙↗️to reduce the obesity epidemic! .
For over 50 years the American people were tricked into believing FAT FREE was the way to eat. Obesity rates soared! The # of people with Diabetes, cancer, heat disease, arthritis, fibromyalgia, dementia... (just to name a few) skyrocketed. .
#truth is carbs and sugar are the bad guys 👿 that trigger inflammation leading to all types of inflammatory conditions, chronic illness, and disease.

The healthiest diet is loaded with colorful 🌈 vegetables, healthy fats and protein 🔑. .
