Looking at the Israelite through their journey to the land of canaan, we can see God's hands over their lives, his provision, his grace and mercy yet, the Israelites always grumbled. Fast forward to reaching the outskirts of canaan, 12 men (1 man from each tribe of isreal) were sent to spy out the land (already given to them by God as inheritance but first, they wanted to see what it had to offer). 10 came back with reports that put fear into the hearts of the camp while 2 (Joshua and Caleb from the tribe of Ephraim and Judah) stated that the Lord had given them the land so let's go claim it. The Israelite stated "has God brought us here so we could die in the hands of our enemies. He could have just left us in Egypt to die." Interesting set of people but let's be real, we do that today too. Then Moses looks at them and says "the lord has been with you throughout the journey leading you by day and by night, do you not think he will fight for you and be with you through the rest of the journey?"
Point: There are so many times we settle for unbelief when we reach the edge of God's promise for our lives (we realize the magnitude of his promises) and being the scared and fragile humans we are, we begin to fear, we grumble and complain telling God this is too big for us to handle. Forgetting that he has lead us to this point and will not abandon us, not for a moment.
Sad to say that generation 20 and over did not make it to Canaan because they kept testing God. Only Caleb and Joshua did.
Let us stay focus on God. He has lead us so far, he will not lead you into danger. God's promise will never go unfulfilled in your life. Stay on course, forget distractions, stop the murmuring and grumbling and focus on the creator
