Having read the blog posts on Project RAWcast from @tassiegrammer and @kieranstoneau , it is relatable on how social media and photographers have caused an increase in traffic at popular locations to shoot and create content.
The "Not-so-secret" Falls in Hobart is a classic example of how increased traffic to a location has caused devastating effects to the environment and fauna. Back when I first visited this place, the track into the waterfall was still pretty covered and compact, but it's so open, muddy and eroded. Much of the moss and ferns that were used to be around the falls were also stripped off. This was taken a while back, and the damage to the area was already pretty evident.
Being environmentally conscious and responsible is the way to go in reducing damage to the delicate nature of places where we visit and explore.
