It POURED all.day.long.today! Literally from the moment I woke up until 3:45p when my run finally happened, it downpoured. Not a sprinkle or light rain, but down-friggen-pours. Getting up early and running early for the past few weeks made that 3:45p start time feel brutally late. When Emma and I took off, the winds had picked up (13 mph to be exact), the temperatures had dropped, and the humidity was through the roof, but I didn't care. I was so stinkin' happy to be out in that fresh post-rain air, and we just chatted and took it easy. Burley ended up surprising us right after I'd hit the first mile, and for the rest of the run we all just chatted. It was soo obvious that all THREE of us were happy to be outside, hence the reason for my late post. Nothing about today or this run were anything spectacular or special, but they were everything to me. Just running because I'm fortunate enough to do it, with those I'm blessed enough to call mine. 💙
