A solitary wildflower reaches for the warming Autumn sun in @windfulness' image from the Cradle Plateau in @tasmaniasnorthwest. In the background is Barn Bluff, one of several iconic landmarks in the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. At this time of year, Tassie's annual wildflower display has peaked and the native vegetation has commenced the transition into Autumn and eventually, Winter. The native Deciduous beech or Nothofagus gunii - @Australia's only deciduous native - will soon commence its spectacular colour transition from rust red through to brilliant gold. It's an annual display that's known as the 'Turning of the Fagus' and it makes the highland landscape even more stunning. Thanks for tagging #discovertasmania , Adam.
