10 NEW COLOURS! Here are all the shades of Jacob 4 Ply we will have available at @yarndale and online very soon after. You’ll notice some are dyed on the natural white, and some are dyed over the natural brown to give an array of bright and dark contrasting shades - perfect for colourwork! We’ve given them some fun names too: the bright yellow is Pop and the dark red is Jingle! You can discover the rest later on. ☺️
As for the yarn itself? We’re really thrilled with how it’s turned out. It’s still totally sheepy, but softer than you might expect for Jacob, especially the brown for some weird reason! It has clearly come from some happy sheep who are farmed and hand sheared in Worcestershire.
It was then traditionally woollen spun in Ceredigion, Wales before arriving on our narrowboat to be dyed. It’s light and airy and warm, just as you’d expect. You get 175m per 50g skein, so you can go for multi-coloured projects without leaving lots of leftovers. I may have already cast something on... 😉🐑
