Collings Foundation's newest rookie to join the tour... a TF-51D Mustang 'Toulouse Nuts'! After 'Betty Jane' took a well needed extra long break from the tour, this TF-51D took her place. The TF-51D is one of only three original TF-51Ds that are left in the world. After the creation of the US Air Force in 1947, the Pursuit (P-51) designation for aircraft was changed to Fighter (F-51). This TF-51 is painted in West Virginia Air Guard, 167th Fighter Squadron colors. David Vopat is at the controls with Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom Tour coordinator Jamie Mitchell in the backseat. Check out the Collings Foundation tour schedule to see this unique Mustang and even purchase a flight where YOU can take the controls!
