Flatten rice cookies
Flattened rice, commonly known as Chura, (also calledbeaten rice not to be confused with Poha, a North Indian dish prepared using flat rice) is rice which is flattened ,light, dry flakes. Beaten rice a lactose-free, fat-free and heart-friendly food & easily digestible. It is a good source of 11 essential vitamins and minerals including iron. Instead of using oats why don’t we substitute with flatten rice
I wanted to add the flatten rice into cookies since cookies are the most easy dish, to try such new experiments I decided to give it a go.
Ingredient- 1 egg ;1 ½ cup of flatten rice ;1 ½ cup of all purpose rice ;1 tsp of baking powder; 1 tsp of baking soda ;1/2 cup of chopped nuts ;120 gms of butter ; ½ cup of light brown sugar ; ½ cup of sugar ; 1 tsp of vanilla essence
In a mixing bowl beat butter with both light & regular sugar until creamy texture then add
egg ,vanilla essence again beat for 2 min.
mix all the dry ingredient in a separate bowl & keep aside
slowly add the dry mixture to the butter mixture beat well then add the chopped nuts to the mixture .help of the spoon place it on the baking tray . Transfer the baking sheet into
the pre-heated oven and bake for about 20 min.
