So after a flippin' horrendous weather day at the Bute Highland Games, Rory and I left on the 1900 ferry absolutely starving since the rest of the fam didn't return home before we had to go, so we missed dinner, but we stopped at the #hungryhorsegreenock for some grub!!!

I'm loving the journey so far, being pushed out of my comfort zone and feeling humbled with a completely different type of training than I'm used to.

But what I'm loving most of all is having a goal to work towards that goes way beyond wanting to be stronger, build muscle or look good. Not that there's anything wrong with those things, I've been doing that for years πŸ˜‚, but having a reason to put the hard yards in is a refreshing change for me. I have focus and a deadline and that feels good.

And it begins...I'm not feeling 100% (lack of sleep and preparation πŸ™ˆ) but I know if I don't start now I'll keep putting it off and I'm fed up of excuses (my own excuses 😳). I'm going to try to eat as healthily as possible and use #myfitnesspal whilst I decide the best way forward.
I'm currently deciding wether to do #fitter16 by #fitterfood which is paleo based (which I just can't get my head around) or just stick to the general principles of eating clean and counting my calories.
In terms of exercise I won't be doing much (I have a 4 month old that just won't sit still!) and a toddler so can't get my head around focusing on eating clean and exercising! So I'm using my #fitbit to try to rack up my step count and maybe do a little dance with the kids once in a while in the living room πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚
