I bought this shirt at the beginning of my pregnancy determined to make this time around a healthier one. Which I must say so far I have. But I also must admit that I had high expectations for myself that I wasn't able to achieve.
When I found out I was pregnant I was honestly at the healthiest I've been in my life. That's probably one of the main reasons I found myself with a surprise, pregnancy.
Our first child was a miracle and surprise as well. I suffer from PCOS, which causes infertility. I did not find this out till we struggled for years with infertility after our first baby.
8 years of trying I finally came to terms with the fact that I was unable to help grow our family, so I started working on myself. -
I found a health program that changed my life, and managed my PCOS. I was doing so well working out everyday, having energy, eating a well balanced, portioned, whole nutrient rich diet, and feeling my very best.
Then💥Boom! I find out I'm pregnant, and a lot changed in an instant.
The cravings started kicking in, hormones raging, and lack of motivation. I did make every effort to workout as much as I could and still eat well. But I've definitely struggled to say the least. Working anywhere from 8-11 hours on my feet, had me eating anything I could somedays and too tired to exercise. Plus little complications had me needing to rest as much as I could and not overdue it.
Even though I did not meet my expectations I had set when I bought this shirt, I'm still very proud of how I've come. From captain crunch, hi-c fruit punch, boxed Mac N cheese, ramen noodles, pizza rolls. To oatmeal, whole grain cereal, fruits and veggies, healthy shakes, chicken, brown rice, fish, salads.
This does not mean I don't occasionally eat burger and fries, donuts, chips and so on. I just try to eat better overall on a daily basis. -
Ok so conclusion to this long a** post😁
Life clearly doesn't always go as planned, but we can still manage to make the best out of it. And I am so thankful for Beachbody programs for changing my lifestyle and mindset. Helping me to lead a healthier life, share it and help others.
