1. Warm water with lemon & apple cider vinegar + a dash of cayenne pepper every morning. 🍋🍏🌶
********Mix 8 oz water, 1/2 lemon freshly squeezed juice, 1 Tbl apple cider vinegar, a sprinkle or two of cayenne pepper******
2. An AMAZING homemade green smoothie! 🍃🥤 It has ALL the servings you need in a day for leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, turmeric & flaxseed! Those are all the hard ones for me to get in daily, but this makes it SUPER easy & it tastes good! 😋 I have also lost an additional 2-3 pounds since beginning my days with this. This is my 1st breakfast & then I have a second breakfast later. ********Makes 2 servings (I save one for the next morning or share with my hubby): In blender/food processor blend 4 c fresh spinach, 2 c kale, 1 c plant-based milk, 1 c water & mix well. Then add 1 large banana, 1 apple chopped into 5-6 chunks, 1 lemon freshly squeezed juice , make sure not to get any seeds from the lemon as it can cause a bitter taste, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 2 Tbl flaxseed and blend well. That’s it! If you want it sweeter, you can add more fruit! Soooo good for you! 💚
I’ve discussed how moving to a #plantbaseddiet has helped my sinus and throat issues that I’ve had the past 2 years or so, but acid reflux has also been a big contributor that I’ve been trying to get under control. For whatever reason, the day I had this first thing in the morning, my throat & sinuses felt SIGNIFICANTLY better by that evening, and I just had a cold coming on, so it should have been worse. Also, I am not having the reflux issues nearly as bad. I don’t love the taste of the lemon & vinegar drink, but it’s very much worth it to me with the improvement of my symptoms! I also came across an article that said warm lemon water and apple cider vinegar don’t significantly help in digestion or weight loss, but that hasn’t been my personal experience. Have you tried it? What are your thoughts? 💭
