At the age of 17, I was admitted to a psychiatric hospital for attempted suicide over a break up.
In September 2017, I lost someone who I loved deeply. The pain wasn't entirely from the fact I lost someone who I really care about, but it was from the realization that I didn't give my all, didn't apologize when I could; and wasn't loving and caring when I had the chance.
Both those experiences caused me to snap. But rather than diving back into depression and suicide. I decided to stop feeling sorry for myself; living life with regret and wondering "what if....." After losing her in September, I had to search deep inside myself to find my life’s purpose.
The gym became a place where I could grow both mentally and spiritually. It helped me to believe in myself, God, and that anything is possible.
I have decided to become a fitness model. To promote both physical and financial health, I’m also pursuing my passion, financial planning, in hopes of inspiring others to become the best person they can be.
If there was someone in your life that you deeply cared for but Murphy's law slapped both of you in the face, then call them up tonight and make things right! You never know how many days you actually have left! Don’t be a model, be a role model!
It was a challenging 8 months, but the journey has just begun. I hope all of you reading this will join me in the fight to be a better person than you were yesterday.
Special thanks to my mother, my roommates, Mr. Bugno, Peter, Daniel, Bubakar, Parker, Greg Plitt, and God. I wouldn’t be who and where I am today without you guys!
Special thanks to Mike and Neveux Studios for an amazing first shoot! Also to, Zachary Tanimoto and his family for generously opening up their home while I was shooting in L.A.
