This was my post workout sweaty selfie from this mornings workout and I was smiling for a couple reasons...one being that it was over 😆another because I was stronger than my excuses today (because Lord knows I had a lot!), and finally because I pushed through even though I'm super sore😣
Whenever I do a new program I feel a soreness that really I never feel again because our bodies adapt and adjust to new movement so easily. But throughout the day, and even as I crawled into bed to write this, I've been OH SO SORE. But I feel accomplished! I know I worked myself this week and have something to be proud of!
My trainer said it over and over du omg this fist week, "This is not a punishment." AMEN to that! Exercise and even soreness, is not meant to be a punishment. It's meant to release, strengthen, grow, and give....give us confidence, give us happiness, give us something to be proud of, give us a sense of accomplishment.
That is what these sore muscles GIVE me and that will be my focus as I stretch out these sore muscles 😉
