Started showing way earlier this pregnancy but overall I have to say my body feels great. So far no real aches and pains 😋👏🏼 .

I was stronger (legs/glutes/core) going into this pregnancy (thanks @bretcontreras1 & @crossfit !) so I know that's been a contributing factor. .
.
I was about 12% body fat going into both pregnancies but this time I've felt fitter and so much stronger. I've had to modify less. I've been able to lift much heavier and it feels awesome. .
.
I have dropped my weights for some lifts down by 10-15% (some lifts have stayed the same- I actually even hit a bench PR earlier this pregnancy) but when I have cut back in weight it's mostly due to not wanting to push it to the very edge for the sake of avoiding injury during pregnancy not bc I feel like I couldn't do it or that it's not safe for baby. .

That's really the main concern during pregnancy. Everyone is so up in arms about whats safe for baby but really it's more about what's safe for Mom. There are very few things that put baby in danger (healthy pregnancy) but there are things that can put Mom in danger & who wants to be injured with a pulled muscle etc during pregnancy?! Not me. .
.
This is why it's really so important to get strong and fit before pregnancy (if you can- obviously sometimes it's a surprise 🎉). This will help you stay comfortable and be able to continue your activities far into pregnancy giving yourself and baby all the amazing benefits including making your 40 week journey comfortable! .

I was decently 'strong' during pregnancy one but didn't take heavy weights seriously and implement them consistently until I was post partum and realized I had lost a ton of muscle mass. I worked to get that muscle back and then some and along the way I made my core and glutes stronger than they have ever been (thanks @bretcontreras1 ) and it's really paid off. .

Outside of pregnancy, I'm the fastest sprinter I've ever been and inside of pregnancy I've been able to continue to workout hard, my body has no aches and pains, zero back issues, and my body and core continues to feel strong and engaged. 🤰🏼❤️

We have had a super quiet week - I've been feeling very tired and sore! #thirdtrimesterproblems Here's a quick kitchen workout. My little lion man loves to keep me company in the kitchen and the bench is his preferred dining spot, so we chat while he eats 💙💙 and sometimes I sneak in a quick workout! Try for 12-16 of each exercise, 3-5 rounds 👊 Have a great day in the winter sunshine! ☀️

So excited to GET BACK ON TRACK!
Tomorrow is right around the sunset and I refuse to wake up another day and not have my healthy prepped meal.
1) Because I start a badass strength + agility program tomorrow
2) This meal plan is unlike any I've ever done before
3) Because I haven't had a stomach ache this bad in a while 🤢

I never have to worry about staying off track for too long because, damn, when I do -- my body HATES it.
I guess I can't complain, I'm glad my body knows the difference, I'm glad it knows what it needs.

I honestly can't believe I used to live my life eating like poop 24/7. Once you know how great you can feel, it makes it a lot harder to function any other way!
