💥HOW TO FOCUS ON FAT LOSS💥

🐴 When trying to lose fat, it's important to make sure you are focusing on the bigger impact things and not worry as much about the minor things
-
🤔As my coach has said, you don't want to "major in the minors"
-
🍗With that being said focus on:
-
🦆Getting in a calorie deficit. Calorie deficit for fat loss is a non negotiable. It has to happen. It doesn't matter how many meals you eat within a given day-by the end of the day hit your calories. -
🐣Get enough protein in-among other things, Protein builds lean muscle mass which will not only give you that "toned" look you want but it will also keep you feeling fuller longer
- 😋. Focus on calories and protein-fats and carbs will fall into place -
🐔Strength training -Will build that lean muscle, will boost your metabolism, will get you super strong, and will give you more confidence than you ever have had.
Cardio is a great add on and if you love it, then by all means, do it! It just shouldn't be your main focus when trying to lose fat

🦉Consistency-None if the above will matter if you are not consistent. Consistent doesn't mean a few days, or even a few weeks. It means months and months of effort. And in the big picture, there will be hiccups-blips on the screen. That's called life. You DO NOT have to be prefect, just consistent. Don't chase perfection -it won't happen. Think big picture, and just keep going. -

No dramatic change, but I am happy to have completed 2 rounds of physique template in 2017. Weight up from 164.5 to 169 lbs. While Taking care of your body from the inside by eating well and hydrating , it's JUST as import taking care of the outside. As we age, and for women dealing with menopause/hormonal issues, our skin changes. Add weather, dry, cold, sun, your skin is affected by it. I've always been religious about moisturizing . Since hitting mid 50's my skin is dry as the desert so I now moisturize in the AM and PM. 💥DO YOU EAT "CLEAN"?💥

🍎People tell me all the time: I eat clean, but I am still not losing fat” More often than not, it has to do with how much ‘clean' they are eating. And therein lies the problem.
-
🌮Look, all of these foods are good, and honestly all have nutritional value, (with dried fruit having the least). Where people go wrong is the amount of these foods they consume.
-
➡️The amounts listed here are based on 1 cup except Olive Oil(whoa... that would be a lot). Where you might not eat a full cup of some of these, it gives you an idea on how “expensive” in calories they can be
-
🌞Almonds - Super easy to over eat almonds. A couple of handfuls of almonds or any other nuts and you have added 100’s of calories. Nuts are a great source of fat, but we tend to forget that fat contains 9 calories per gram and can calories can add up quickly. Have some nuts! Just be mindful of how much you are eating.

🍴Quinoa - Aside from the “interesting” texture, Quinoa has nutritional value, but is light and fluffy which makes it easy to over eat.

🥑Avocado - Avocado is one of the yummiest things on the planet, because…. guacamole 😉
It is labeled as a “healthy” fat which it is, but like nuts, carries 9 calories per gram. Just be mindful

🥛Smoothies - Lots and lots of variety and variables in smoothies depending on what you put in them. Some of those smoothies can have a ton of calories. Keep the ingredients to a minimum

🥄Olive Oil - Another “healthy fat” that is super super easy to pack on the calories. 1 TBSP is surprisingly small but yet has a lot of calories

🍊Dried Fruit - Some people think dried fruit is a healthy option and will eat it to get in their daily servings of fruit. While it does contain some nutrients, dried fruit is also loaded with sugar and calories. You are much better off eating the real deal. - 😀I am not saying not to eat any of these. What I am saying is that if you are “eating clean” and are not losing fat, start tracking how much you are eating. - ‼️You can overeat clean foods just like any other foods. It all comes down to calories. Eat what you enjoy Just make room for it in your diet. 😊
