Despite what the popular media have written about eggs and cholesterol over the years, a study by Fernandez ML (published in the US National Library of Medicine), concluded that; diverse, healthy populations experience no risk in developing coronary heart disease by increasing cholesterol intake via eggs. Instead, test subjects actually benefitted from the multitude of nutrients and vitamins present. Various other studies support this by correlating no increased risk in heart disease among subjects who moderately consumed whole eggs daily. -

Parma ham & mushroom omelette:

Preheat pan before adding 10ml olive oil and 3 whisked eggs. Cook for 2 minutes before adding 2 slices of Parma ham, 2 chopped mushrooms and black pepper. Cook for a further minute

Chorizo & goats cheese omelette:

Preheat pan before adding 10ml coconut oil and 3 whisked eggs. Cook for 2 minutes before adding 3 large slices of chorizo, goats cheese, rocket and spinach. Cook for a further minute. -

Veggie omelette:

Preheat pan before adding 10ml coconut oil and 3 whisked eggs. Cook for 2 minutes before adding 1/4 chopped red pepper, 1/2 chopped red onion, handful of rocket and 1 tsp paprika. -

Scrambled eggs on toast:

Whisk 2 eggs and add to pan on a low heat. Gently cook for 4-6 minutes. Meanwhile toast a slice of bread before adding cooked eggs on top with black pepper. -

Nutella & raspberry French toast:

Whisk 1 egg before dipping slice of bread in until coated. Preheat pan, add 10ml olive oil and egg slacked bread. Cook for 2 minutes each side before adding 1 tbsp Nutella, 25g raspberries & 1 tbsp honey.

Poached egg on avocado toast:

Half fill saucepan with water and bring to gentle simmer before cracking in the egg. Poach for 4 minutes. Meanwhile, mash up 1/4 of a large avocado before spreading on a slice of toast. Finally, add the poached egg on top. -

I ate to slow aging at the Clinique La Prairie in Switzerland. 🥦
The clients who come to this world renowned medical retreat are given a personal nutritionist, however do not force any food religions and offer real food and drink as you would find in the real world. They don’t believe you should live in a bubble for a week and find yourself completely disarmed once you leave. 🥦
I decided to broaden my palate while I was there and experiment all types of food in my investigations to see what the experience will be like for all cultures and clients.

All of the dishes on the menu are healthy and taste amazing. They are delicately cooked to perfection with the finest ingredients and use methods that enhance the healing properties to the body while reducing inflammation. Not once was I disappointed!

These are just a few of my dishes from a 2 night stay.
1. Soft boiled eggs with gold leaf on a bed of buckwheat and grilled shiitake mushrooms.
2. Pad Thai with thin slices of tempeh, bean sprouts and rice noodles.
3. Fruit salad of finely chopped seasonal fruit.
4. Vegan meatballs with spiralized carrots and pine nuts
5. Break-fast
6. Mixed greens with shrimp and salmon
7. Organic Ma po tofu with chili
8. Spicy organic chicken Chinese style with chili and cashews
9. Vegetable dim sum dumplings

6 weeks from today I will be stepping on stage once again, but for the very first time as a Musclemania athlete. I can't even put into words how excited I am to be part of this amazing organization and to compete against other natural athletes who are committed to the same standards in fitness that I am. .

I've made some amazing friends along the way in my years competing, but I have to say that the people that I've met in a few short weeks from @musclemania Colorado are some of the best. These women are real, honest, supportive, kind and uplifting. To say that it will be an honor to compete against them is an understatement.

I was gone;
But now I’m back.
Yeah.

#PB alert. First ‘race’ in months yesterday due to a lingering soleus injury so was very surprised and happy to run a course PB at the Midland Road Relays. 19m 05s for 5.88k. I don’t think I’ve ever run one properly prepared so hope to smash through 19 mins one year.
It’s more a time trial than a race unless you’re leg one or can get into a battle with a fellow racer. Hundreds of the best regional club runners all take part, it’s super competitive.

Anyway, my club #birchfieldharriers had a brilliant day including our 6 man A Team winning the Gold medal for the first time since 2009. Here we all are cheering @atovey__ to victory on the final leg. 📷 @andrew1903peat
