Aim was 30mins max metres. Had a plan to set off @38 and ski consistently at 1:51.0 - 1:52.0. Broadly stuck to it (weak 20-25mins) but came in at the target of more than 8,000m. Very pleased with this result and a new PB. Thank you @garageathlete for the programming and planning.

Nothing like starting my day out w/ a great workout especially when it's so much fun @play_sps ! I always say find a workout you actually think is fun so that you will stay with it! Another session in the bag, felt really good. Getting to grips with my mindset and the voice that once stopped me progressing is, oh yes, going quiet now thankfully. It's taken a lot of time and a lot of work to get to where I am on many levels and I'll keep going. It's not a case of "oh right you've reached X/Y/Z therefore you can stop now and everything will be fine..." it doesn't work like that. For some people, regular exercise works as well as medication to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. πŸ™‹πŸ½ some people ... I'm in that classification for sure! At one point in college I had a prescription for my anxiety. I typically only used it around exam time, but anyone who struggles with anxiety knows how scary it can be. The physical symptoms can be so intense. It's nice there is medicine to help us calm down, but I prefer all natur-al methods. Looking back, I wasn't exercising enough during that time in my life. If I did I bet I would have felt better much more quickly and never even used those pills. Two years later, I finally realized how much I needed exercise and what it can do for me physically and mentally. September 2014 is when I started to get serious and consistent with working out. Yes I go through lulls where my body needs a bit more rest, but I will never go back to where I was. Knowing that 30 minutes in the gym can change how I feel emotionally is HUGE. As an emotionally sensitive being, I have to balance my emotions as much as possible in order to feel good on a daily basis. If my emotions are out of whack, than everything is lost, starting with the types of foods I crave and consume. Everything works together to create a complete picture of health.

How often do you exercise and how has it changed your life??

I was sceptical about today's workout, given Wednesday's shenanigans on the road. BUT I managed a hectic workout: warm up on the threadmill for 30 minutes doing a 40/60 walk/ run combo. I wasn't sure my legs would hold up but I managed to get through the warm. I followed that up with five sets of fifteen squat/ touch ground combo, ten medicine ball high knees, twenty mountain climbers, twenty step jumping jacks and fifteen knee tucks. I then did three sets of ten ab exercises whose names I don't know (I'm gonna make a video of that at some point). I then did twenty minutes of yoga AND practiced my dolphin 😁 which I'm getting better at!! I'm hoping to work my way up to a supported headstand as my core gets stronger.
