For some people, regular exercise works as well as medication to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. 🙋🏽 some people ... I'm in that classification for sure! At one point in college I had a prescription for my anxiety. I typically only used it around exam time, but anyone who struggles with anxiety knows how scary it can be. The physical symptoms can be so intense. It's nice there is medicine to help us calm down, but I prefer all natur-al methods. Looking back, I wasn't exercising enough during that time in my life. If I did I bet I would have felt better much more quickly and never even used those pills. Two years later, I finally realized how much I needed exercise and what it can do for me physically and mentally. September 2014 is when I started to get serious and consistent with working out. Yes I go through lulls where my body needs a bit more rest, but I will never go back to where I was. Knowing that 30 minutes in the gym can change how I feel emotionally is HUGE. As an emotionally sensitive being, I have to balance my emotions as much as possible in order to feel good on a daily basis. If my emotions are out of whack, than everything is lost, starting with the types of foods I crave and consume. Everything works together to create a complete picture of health.
How often do you exercise and how has it changed your life??
