A little exercise tip for you ⬇️ really think about the movement you are doing to your body when carrying out an exercise. Just by slowing down the movement and geting a feel for the muscles being worked can increase your knowledge of your own body and improve your exercise technique.

For example, here on my cable row. A slow movement plus a pause at the top of the contraction on the cable row should be felt well in your lats and delts.
Also holding the contraction for a sustained period puts the muscle under contraction for a longer period resulting in more muscle usage and in time an increase in strength gains. Next time, why not give it a go? 👍

Love your body!!! But how ?? I’ll be honest here. -hearing someone tell me to love myself doesn’t make me love myself doesn’t make me love myself anymore than I already do. -Reading a caption about somebody’s insecurities doesn’t make mine go away. -listening to somebody tell “it’s gonna be ok” doesn’t make things “ok.”
-While I’m on board with all of the positive self talk, and I encourage it, sometimes it’s just not that simple!
-For years, I picked myself apart in front of the mirror. If it wasn’t one thing, it was another. I’d venture to say: It takes a heck of a lot strength and confidence for a woman to stand in front of a mirror and genuinely say to herself “I love my body just the way it is right now, and there’s nothing I’d ever want to change.” Well guess what? That’s ok! We’re human, we don’t conform, we tend to overthink! Here’s what really needs to change: our focus! It’s not about our shape, weight, or muscle mass, it’s about how we perceive ourselves and how much we let our imperfections effect us! I had a major transformation and I can’t even really show it to you guys! It’s not physical, it’s mental. I don’t even know when or how it happened, but it happened! I first started to exercise because I wanted to “lose weight.” Right now, I don’t workout because I’m trying to make my body “perfect “ (whatever that means..) I’m not trying to prove a point, compete, or show off my “progress.” I can honestly tell you I workout because I love it! I feed off of the strength, adrenaline, and endorphins! It gives me joy! 🌟My point: if you want to exercise, do it for your health and that feeling! Don’t “just” do it to alter your shape! That’s a slippery slope and a nasty mind game. I realize it’s 100% easier said than done, but I will forever preach this: Yes, learn to love your body! But first and utmost: pay attention to your health, both physical and mental! Lifestyle change to me has several factors
1️⃣Focusing on a proper nutritional 🥗🥦🥑🍎system that works for you. Through out my 20+ years as an #athlete 🏋🏻‍♀️ 🚴🏻‍♀️ i truly believe this is the most important💪🏼. Without a proper nutrition nothing will change 😉. #worksmartnothard


2️⃣Replacing the bad 🙅🏻‍♀️ habits with better ones 🤗. By setting small goals 🥅 that will lead to that ultimate goal. .


3️⃣Keep a Journal 📓 it will help keep you accountable with your food 🥘 intake and time ⏰spent in and out of the gym. Seeing things written down in your own hand writing ✍️ has a positive affect in the brain 🧠. It makes it real!!! You will be less likely to cheat on you meals if you have to actually write down what you are eating 😉 makes you think 🤔 twice about that donut 🍩 or slice of pizza 🍕 .


4️⃣Let’s not forget how we approach this plan is so important. Attitude is everything 🤩 so embrace 🤝 change with open arms 🙌🏼. .

In 2010 I was 265lbs. By 2012, when the pink camo pic was taken (Valentine's day 2012), I was down to 235 or so. Multiple chins, big spare tire.

By June of 2013 I was at 195lbs and probably in the best shape if my life. Between then and April of 2017 life happened and I let myself go.
In October of 2016 I was tired of feeling sorry for myself and got back into the gym. I had flabbed out to 220 or so.
April of 2017 my mother passed away to lung cancer. We had talked a lot then about letting things go, grabbing for the things you want in life and taking chances. I was around 200lbs and decided a fit 220 was doable. I grabbed for what I wanted and in most respects my life is great.

I weighed in @nutrishopboise_meridian Sunday and I'm a fit, rather than fat 216.4lbs. Still working towards that 220. Time and effort will get you through the ups and downs of a #fitnessjouney as long as you don't give up. Especially at those times when you feel you are going backwards.

Back at it!!! day 3 with 2 ingredient dough!! Air fried perfectly!!! *1/2 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
*1/2 cup self rising flour
*form into ball, add flour as needed to lessen the stickiness. *form into desired shape. I topped mine with olive oil pan spray, Oh My Spice seasoning, and Parmesan. *air fry on 350 for about 8 minutes (check to crisp up to your liking)
