Ruby didn't want to sleep yesterday so I thought I'd go for a drive then a walk with the pram in the hope that she'd either fall asleep in the car or the pram. She did neither but we had fun watching the ducks and other kids playing along the river. .

There are a lot of myths around pilates and teaching... I thought it might be good to share my musings to see if it resonates with others, and also to give clients an insight into our world... so here goes myth no 1; a great teacher doesn’t need help in their own pilates practise...I’m a good teacher, who is confident in their abilities. But it doesn’t mean that I only do my own pilates workouts! I take regular classes from teachers I love; sometimes I go to teachers who I’ve never heard of; and sometimes my clients might find me next to them on a mat at my studio @thewellnesscabin Why? Because pilates is all about self development and trying new things. There is nothing more refreshing than finding a teacher who’s style resonates and inspires; that has you asking questions about how you do things. And my clients benefit from this, as I’m always bringing new things to the party! Pilates is also about precision and correction. My body is great at “cheating” exercises it doesn’t like, but really needs. A teacher is there to spot this and coax it in the right direction! So if you spot your teacher on the mat, and if you see them being corrected, it doesn’t mean we are a bad teacher! In fact, I believe it means the exact opposite...

Mondays get a bad rep! Bringing balance and grounding to my week. Don't grind, align.
✨🙏🌎 Side note weight training a few weeks ago had undone a ton of progress I made in yoga in regards to flexibility and activating certain muscles through locks/bandhas. I decided to stop going as much because of it since I just became a yoga teacher and need my practice to progress. But it's had an influence on alot of muscle groups. Specifically my lower half. Hence the balancing practice today. Need to build strength in stability again. And loosen up. One thing I noticed was I bulking up fine which most of you saw in one if my pictures I posted a few weeks back but it causes a ton of tightness and limited range of motion. I had half of the flexibility as I had when I started. So I am back my friends. 🙏✨


Also sorry I haven't been around much I have been experimenting with Kundalini and it takes a fair amount of focus and study.
