Clare was tired of not feeling as if she looked like she should be given how much she worked out. But when it came to nutrition, and fueling herself appropriately for her goals, Clare was uncertain where to start. After an up and down experience with her own diet – and later regain – she sought out an expert to help her reach her goals once and for all.

1/3 way through a team Abundance challenge! So much growth. Personally, professionally and more. It’s beautiful to work with like minded women and men who have it in their heart to change and challenge the world. I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus after planning the Winter 2018 Rally, report cards and just catching up on house chores. While all exhausting, it’s for sure fulfilling.
What does Abundance mean to you?

Day 7/80 ✅ Saved this me time for last today & it was exactly what this body needed. To be honest this is something I’ve routinely neglected for far too long. I know exactly how important & beneficial it is even outside of working out but I just haven’t taken the time to give it get the necessary attention. That changes this week & with this new routine! Spent a good 30-40 minutes doing some thorough stretching & foam rolling to loosen these muscles & get my mind and body ready for Week 2. Got more work to do but it isn’t all gonna happen in one night. Feeling more loose, relaxed and less sore which is SO vital in keeping your muscles working efficiently to allow you to not only get the most out of your workouts & accelerate muscle recovery but to have better functionality & mobility in your day to day activities. Get you a foam roller!

Now for some dinner, a cool shower (because this weather is ridic in Texas and has our house at 82° because we’ve had both the heat & the A/C off today). Freezing one week, spring like weather the next. But I love it! I guess with cooking, running the stove & dishwasher etc it doesn’t take much to turn this little apartment into a mini furnace. Lol 😅 Thinking were gonna have to hit that A/C though cuz ya girl can’t sleep when she’s hot!! Do you like it super cold so you can bundle up when you sleep or are you coziest when it’s warmer without using much cover?? ❄️⛄️😴😌

Still on a high from yesterday’s Pilates class at @flexstudiosnyc , sponsored by @getondibs ! This event encapsulated all the reasons why I fell in love with fitness. Working out with old friends as we encouraged each other to hang in there during a tough interval and to find the energy for that one last push. Bonding with new friends who motivate me to up my game as an athlete. Together we made it through a challenging, but rewarding workout courtesy of @juliettewalle . A huge thank you to @getondibs for the opportunity to host this event (check out their site for great deals on classes at some of the best studios in NYC!) and to Flex for having us.

We are too familiar with the expression " A healthy body leads to a healthy mind", but what we might not be aware of is that a healthy mind is also needed in order to achieve a healthy body. The relationship is mathematically reciprocal. You can't have one without the other. .

Hip-flexor release: Lay on your stomach and put a lacrosse ball under your psoas. Allow your bodyweight to release onto the ball as much as possible without pain and lay until you feel your hip flexor relax.

Doing this release will positively affect your posture and help to stabilize your spine! This is EXTREMELY important if you sit all day!
