Today sucked. But, I've had worse days... much worse in fact but, I did have to dig out my "tool box". My tool box is every technique I have learned over the years to deal with challenging people, places or things. It's my ultimate survival guide in life. One day, I'm going to compile all my "tools" in a book to share with others but for now this is the tool I used today:
Everything you are going through has some benefit to make you a better person. What benefit does this situation bring to your life? Focus on what you can learn today and be grateful.
Anytime I am upset or annoyed it's because something didn't go my way. It's not what I wanted or how I believe things should be. Learning to stop, assess the problem, realize my reaction to the problem is actually the problem, & then LET GO OF THE RESULT is my only path to happiness or at least contentment. I can't control most of what happens in life. I can only control how I choose to respond to it. I can choose to grow and learn or I can choose to play the victim, cry and say "why me" and make everyone around me miserable. I've done my fair share of complaining (ask my husband, he hears it all #sorrybabe) but I'm ready to just be content no matter what life hands me. 🙏🏻
How to you handle life's problems? What's your secret? Share!
