Im asked a lot "how are you so motivated to workout?" -- truth is -- I'm NOT always motivated.

But what separates me? Why do I continue seeing results? DISCIPLINE! .
.
I disciplined myself to no matter what, I make my health a priority! Even on the days I don't feel like it, my kids are driving me nuts, the weather isn't ideal, I didn't sleep the night before, etc... Because if I let every excuse slip by -- I wouldn't have lost 60 pounds! I wouldn't have a healthy relationship with food or FEEL confident in my clothes! .

The first quarter of 2017 is GONE! How disciplined have you been? How disciplined are you going to get? You have 60 days until summer.. that's it! Are you going to just let it go another year? Or will you buckle down and get real with yourself to make a change? πŸ’—πŸ’ͺ🏼

Day 5/60 accountability checkin! .

Yesterday's workout was not easy to do... I was unmotivated and it was just "a day"! TODAYS workout tho -- I had pep in my step! I was ready! .
.
Not everyday will be ideal and inspiring. There are going to be days in which you will dread working out. Not because you don't care about yourself... but you're having "a day" -- and that's OKAY! On those days of doubt tho.. I want you to at least try. Show up. Do it for 10 minutes with everything you have.. and if you're not making progress.. stop. Simple as that. 9x out of 10 once I'm 10 minutes into a workout nowadays, I will finish it. But when I began my journey, that wasn't always the case.. sometimes I just needed to stop and be proud that I didn't just straight up quit or skip. .

I also love the ladies in my group.. they keep me in check and motivate me everyday... because if they can - why not me? πŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ’—πŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ’—πŸ’ͺ🏼

ANSWER: I never quit. It's not about the 21 day program, the 60 day program, wraps, pills, shoes, etc... If you're focusing on completing that program or finishing that bottle of fat burners and that's it -- you won't have long term results -- I can guarantee it, because I've been there! .

You have to change your LIFESTYLE. The way you think. You have to change your relationship with food: it's neither a punishment or a reward. It's FUEL. Exercise should never be viewed as punishment for overindulging -- you'll always hate working out if that's the case and you'll never have long term results. Working out is an opportunity, it's an ability that many people don't have! .

Losing weight and keeping it off is about being healthy, it's about making "better bad" choices when you're treating yourself. It's about eating in moderation and finding a workout routine/system that you enjoy doing! AND NOT QUITTING when it gets tough or when you feel unmotivated. Wanna know why I have this big ol smile??? I just checked in with my 60 day accountability group that came to an end yesterday.... .

There were 23 ladies who participated and combined LOST 299 pounds!!! What???? .
.
In 60 days these gorgeous women lost almost 300 pounds! That's an average of 13 pounds per person! .
.
How would you feel if you could drop 13 pounds BEFORE summer? Would that mean a new bathing suit? A new pair of shorts? A new tank top? .

Can I tell you why a lot of people don't see results with their fitness program? .
.
First: have you ever started a program or started a new routine at the gym... only to quit, your dvds start collecting dust and your monthly gym membership becomes wasted money down the toilet? .
.
You had every intention of completing and going through with it... but you allowed this one little thing make you stop.
.
.
Comparison! You follow the DVD and quickly started negative self talk: "I can't keep up, I can't do what they're doing, i didn't even make it 5 minutes, I don't have that form, I feel stupid and not athletic, they go too fast, I'm not in shape like they are... etc etc etc.." So you throw in the towel and quit. I did it when I began my weight loss journey as well. Being 180 pounds and doing your first workout DVD really does make you realize how badly you are outta shape! .
.
But here's the deal. After hanging it up to dry & throwing myself a pity party - I decided to try a different approach! I was going to go at MY pace and as long as I could go - no matter what the others were doing! No matter how those fitness models were working out, I'm running my OWN race. If I could only workout 8 minutes out of 30, then that's all I could do. If I could only do 6 reps instead of 15, then that's all I could do and that's my best for that day! .
.
That's the approach and mentality I want you to have! No matter how long you make it or how many reps you do -- you are lapping who you were last week! And you sure as hell are lapping those who gave up or never began in the first place! .
.
Stop the comparison game! Those awesome people in the DVD are meant to motivate you. They are meant to give you some inspiration to aspire to be there one day -- but you have to start at day 1 FIRST! You have to go thru the not so pretty, the sweat, the tears and the muscle aches. .
.
It's not meant to be easy - it's meant to challenge every fiber in your body so that you can CHANGE your body! .
.
So tomorrow when you Wakeup, just remember this is YOUR journey and YOUR race! Be better than yesterday, last week and last month. You vs. You, baby! πŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺ🏼

Mom tip: when you're trying to get your kiddos to eat healthier... ask them to be apart of grocery shopping, cleaning and preparing the food. .

My oldest was my stickler when it came to introducing new veggies or healthy meals... but once I gave her some responsibility around it plus asking how SHE would like to prepare them, it became less of a struggle. .

This same concept works for you too, if you're picky about your food and eating healthyπŸ˜‰ It's all trial and error... figuring out how you like things prepared. .

βœ”οΈ 1/2 cup gluten free rolled oats (or if you're grain free, use 1/2 cup shredded coconut)
βœ”οΈ 1/2 cup raw honey
βœ”οΈ 1/2 cup crunchy nut butter of choice
βœ”οΈ 2 tsp Chocolate Donut seasoning from @flavorgod (its chemical and filler free)
βœ”οΈ Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl -- don't be afraid of getting your hands messy πŸ€—
βœ”οΈ Roll mixture into bite sized balls.
βœ”οΈ I personally place 2 balls in a zip lock baggy and store them in the fridge -- great for grab and go! Yes, my fridge will have a drawer filled with several baggies of ShakeO balls. βœ”οΈ Regardless how you store them, they need to be kept in the fridge so they keep firmer consistency and shape -- plus it just tastes better! πŸ’—
