Yeah, it’s a long caption. But, if you’re a yoga teacher or hustling in any industry, it’s worth a read. 😘
My mom is 70 and although I avoided her advice as a teen (I still stupidly do sometimes) 🤣🤣 it’s crazy to say that she is typically right 😐 Experience and time really do matter when it comes to life lessons. 👊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last night she was reflecting on the past and brought up the importance of being present in every decision in our lives because we never know which choice will be a defining moment that shapes our future.
I know it’s hard to accept the fact that we are responsible for our own lives. And it seems much easier to deflect blame onto others for our misfortunes but the moment we take responsibility, we have the power to create our own destiny and shape our minds and lives. (Now, I’m not talking about situations where one is truly a victim so please don’t make a comment about this below). 🙏🙏❤️
As I look back on the last decade of teaching yoga, I feel so thankful for ALL of the experiences...especially the ones that challenged me. When I was working harder than ever teaching 30 classes a week all over LA and making close to nothing (seriously, I paid rent to teach at my first job and actually LOST money the first year!) I didn’t realize then that it would give me the grit and experience to encourage and teach other aspiring teachers. 💪💪💪💪
When I did that Equinox video there was a bunch of backlash which lead to me thinking I would never succeed in the Yoga industry. But that video lead to shooting a calendar with @jasperyoga, traveling and teaching internationally, my own trainings, online classes with @codyapp, partnerships with brands like @aloyoga and so much more. So remember, if you’re struggling but you’re also doing you’re very best, this could be a defining moment in your life that you’ll look back on and be proud of yourself for. So, #keephustling and tag someone who needs to hear this. 👊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ #yogateacher #yogateachertraining #fitflowfly #bryceyoga
