Well... this is a loaded question. And the answer depends on your needs and goals. Here's a few suggestions for choosing the best type of protein for you: 1) whey protein is a fast digesting protein and should be taken directly after your workout to replenish and aid in muscle repair & recovery. 2) Plant-based proteins are slower digesting than whey, but are faster than other forms. So if you are sensitive to whey, this is a viable post-workout option. 3) Egg White Powder is a slower digesting protein and could be used as a meal replacement. Mix in smoothies 😋. 4) Casein: The "slowest" digesting of the four. Take at bedtime to aid in muscle recovery. Also good if you practice intermittent fasting. I have found that I don't wake up hungry when I take at bedtime. #myopinion 5) Collagen. I've posted about it before, benefits are endless. Push-pull superset for biceps/triceps. Supersets stimulate growth hormone production which is essential for muscle growth and recovery.
