Stiff-legged deadlift variations. This is another great exercise to target the glutes (and hamstrings). Few tips: - If you feel that you can’t keep your legs straight without rocking onto your heels and hyperextending the knees, go ahead and slightly bend the knees as you descend.

Beginner’s exercise - Cable Pull Throughs. This is a great intro to deadlifts as they are a more “back friendly” variation. Your glutes and hamstrings receive the maximum load when standing.
Intermediate exercise- Dumbbell Stiff-legged Deadlifts.
Advanced exercise - Olympic Bar stiff leg Deadlift

Everyone wants nice round Glutes, but here’s you NEED them:

The gluteal muscles help facilitate and stabilize all movement that occurs at the hip and knee joints.
So, every time you walk, bend, carry your baby, pick up boxes, etc. you are using glute assistance!

Hip Thrusts and Glute bridges are some of the best glute-targeting exercises. Designate a “Glutes Day” at the gym and LIFT HEAVY.
With all three variations, squeeze the glutes together at the top of the bridge/thrust.
4x10-12 reps, and remember… lift heavy!
For Beginners: Glute bridge

Intermediate: Short barbell hip thrusts

Advanced: Olympic barbell hip thrusts

Been super excited to try his new plant-based protein by @optimumnutrition
I’ve sworn by their Gold Standard Whey protein for years. But nowadays, I limit my dairy and have cut red meat from my diet. Even in making these changes, I still take a Whey shake after my workouts as it provides the fastest protein digestion.
Pea protein is also a fast-digesting protein, just not as fast as whey. So... I might as well take my diet all the WHEY and cut the WHEY! See what I did there... 🤓

My current favorite #chestexercise at the moment. The Throw and Press on the Smith machine. I’m still using light weight with high reps (4x15-20Reps) because I need to shed all of fat I “earned” during the holidays... Excuse the random bar in the video... 😕
How to: - Lay on a bench arms slightly wider than shoulder width apart. - Bar should be stacked over middle of chest. - lower bar to chest then give an explosive push, releasing the bar at the top. Literally “throwing” the bar up. -Catch the bar at the top and lower down to chest.
