Mai edzés a naplementében. Ezen a héten elindult a felkészülésem a Panoráma Trail-re, ami miatt borzasztó izgatott vagyok..😱🙊
Próbálok végig csinálni egy 12 hetes edzéstervet, ami valójában a Visegrád Trail-re készít fel (ami, persze nem most lesz), de szeptemberben úgyis egy 30 km-es terepfutó versenyen tesztelem magam..., szóval most rengeteg futás, és erősítő edzés lesz a mindennapjaimban, de legalább azt a plusz pár kilót hipp-hopp leadom..😂😂 És, ha már megtudtam @ultramamarathonist -tól, hogy Selfie day van ma, itt van egy pár selfie is a hülye fejemről..😂😜🤣 Nagyon élveztem a mai futkározást, és a pulzusom sem volt ma annyira rendetlen, csak a sprinteknél.. 😂😂

🖌💭 The Meaning of ThickSet (to me)? It’s not about the perfect body. It’s about your journey. Let me tell you about my childhood:

I’m Filipino. I don’t have long legs and nothing about my stature is lean. You can imagine how much I heard it growing up -
.
“Your legs are so big!”
“Why are your legs so HUGE?”
.
Kids (sometimes even adults) don’t know what is socially appropriate. The teasing and unnecessary comments were never forgotten. I heard it enough to feel embarrassed of my weight. I heard it enough to feel insecure. I heard it enough to avoid wearing shorts or anything that showcased my “fat knees”.
.
Even though it took a toll on my mental health, I’ve forgiven all my friends who found my appearance unusual. I’ve forgiven my family too. Sometimes, people don’t know any better and that’s okay – we learn kindness and forgiveness as we age.
.
So where does that leave me today?
.
Today, I am on a mission. As a Coach, I vow to never allow any negativity in my teachings. I use positive reinforcement and constructive criticism to propel my clients forward. I do not focus on the shortcomings – I celebrate the opportunities for growth.
.
I never want anyone to feel alone or unsupported in their pursuit of internal happiness.

LISTEN TO YOUR BODY☝️

So as you might know, the exams are almost done for me. I’ve been having a hard time these last few days. It’s like my body is done with all the stress and mental exhaustion. I’ve been having headaches every day, my stomach hurts, I am tired all the time… So what did I do?
▫️
I sleep 8,5 hours every single day during the exams. I think sleep is super important and if I wouldn’t sleep enough, I would not be able to concentrate and I wouldn’t be productive at all. To me it’s gaining time instead of losing because I am way more productive. These last few days, I also slept a few times during the day. It’s the only thing that helps when I am having a headache and I can’t study anyways when I am having a headache. On those days I also slept 9 hours instead of 8,5 hours and I didn’t have any problems with sleeping although I also slept during the day. That means the extra sleep was needed.

I tried to relax as much as possible. Of course I need to study a lot but during my breaks, I made sure I was doing something that makes me feel relaxed like doing yoga, watching a YouTube video, reading…

I still don’t feel very well but I am sure that if I ignored the signs my body was giving me, it would be much worse now and I wouldn’t have been able to study at all. Please don’t neglect the signs your body is giving you. Take care of yourself because that’s important. It’s gaining time instead of losing time, I promise you!

What do you do when you are getting a bit too stressed out?💕

Btw I always love drinking tea during the exams. This tea is from @thee_met_een_verhaal and this taste is one of my favourites. You can also drink it cold, which you can do with every tea btw! I always add a bit of stevia though because I like my tea to be sweet. #theemeteenverhaal

This one unexpectedly turned out to be super yummy!

INGREDIENTS:
500g diced pumpkin / butternut
2 small sweet potatoes / 1/2 medium sweet potato - diced
5 baby marrows - use a peeler and remove the skin if you don’t like odd computed soup 😂
1 full fresh sweet corn - chopped
1/2 chopped red onion
Fresh garlic (1/2 - 1 teaspoon)
Fresh ginger (1/2 teaspoon)
Chili flakes
Coconut oil (1/2 tablespoon)
Pink salt
Black pepper
Water 💦 -

THE HOW TO’s:
1. Boil kettle
2. Heat a pot and melt your coconut oil.
3. Throw in your diced onions with all the spices, garlic, ginger. Cook for a bit.
4. Add your pumpkin and sweet potato. Mix mix and allow to cook for a bit . Add a bit more salt and pepper.
5. Add your baby marrow.
6. Add boiling water - enough to cover all veggies. If it’s too thick you can add more later.
7. Allow for veggies to simmer and cook.
8. When all veggies are mooshy - remove from heat and blend your soup until smooooth.
9. Add back to the heat, do a taste test and add more water and spices if needed.
10. Add your sweet corn, mix mix and allow to simmer for like a minute.

Since skipping backwards is a thing everybody is doing these days and I saw @girl_friday_8 doing it so well😊I figured I give it a try this morning😉 I used to be able to jump backwards only with basic jump but today I managed to do some tricks too, I am really starting to love this😎 It's a bit tricky at first but I got used to it quickly and my body adapted!!!

Don’t judge someone’s story based on the chapter you walked in on...people look at where I am now with my fitness or with my business and say, “Damn I wish I could do that.” Well, I’m here to tell you that you can!!! How? Not by having all the answers or being good enough before you begin...geez, you’ll never get anywhere. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Nope, you make it happen by just STARTING.

There was a time when I only walked, then only ran...then started dabbling with machines (gotta be safe!), which lead to experimenting with dumbbells (but nothing more than 5lbs right...didn’t want to get bulky🙄,) then I picked up a book (#thenewrulesofliftingforwomen ) that taught me nutrition and proper form and holy crap something called a dumbbell snatch (wtf had I gotten myself into?), which transitioned into barbells and kettlebells and gymnastics rings thanks to Crossfit. 👊🏼

My fitness journey has been 20 years in the making. It all started with literally one step, I kept going, and will keep going. My makeup journey started with one crazy decision that’s lead to 3 years of learning and growing, evolving into a thriving business (which is insane because I didn’t know about nor did I care about brows, concealer, or which eye brush gets used for what🤷🏻‍♀️) yet, here I am running an online business that sells over a million dollars worth of makeup and skincare a year alone!!!

So start where you are, use what you have, do what you can...and KEEP GOING ✨💫

Day 4/21 Pilates Workout Done!

It’s National Selfie Day so OF COURSE I didn’t forget my post-workout selfie. 😄😄 Today’s workout was Pilates. I’m going to admit, I went in to this workout with a bad attitude. I’m a Pilates Instructor. I thought it was going to be boring and not effective.
