Keeping consistent over the festive season!
Cara’s 15 minute plyo workout completed (a few funny looks from my fellow campers (I was groaning on the third set of dynamic lunges!) followed a breakfast of Greek yoghurt, strawberries, banana, blueberries, walnuts and a lovely mix I’ve stumbled across in New Zealand of ground linseeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, chia, cocoa powder and flaxseeds. Will definitely be mixing some of this up when I get home – it’s delicious. I topped it off with a carrot, ginger, carrot, apple and turmeric juice and I’m set up for the day.
We know, it’s hard not to just let go completely and pig-out over the holidays. It’s a time to relax, indulge and spend time with your family and friends. I hate the idea that people associate the holiday with a complete diet and exercise failure though … It doesn’t have to be that way!
Even if you only squeeze in a 15 minute workout and start your day with a healthy breakfast, you don’t need to go completely off piste 😊. It’s just 15 minutes and if you get up and get it done before anyone else is awake, you will feel great for the rest of the day.
Enjoy the great food, the nice wine and the puddings. Christmas comes but once a year! Just try to strike a balance somewhere along the way.
