Holy moly, gotta share something with ya!
🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺 I have an endocrine disorder that disrupts my hormones, metabolism, and a ton of other things. It's incurable. It causes insulin resistance and predisposes me to diabetes, both regular and gestational. In my other 3 pregnancies I was on Metformin (a diabetic med) to help manage my disorder. I did not work out at all in those pregnancies, although I was very strict about eating low carb and super healthy foods. All 3 of my gestational diabetes labs were 100, meaning I passed, but in hindsight, maybe only because I was on Metformin. I quit Metformin 2 years ago, started working out almost every day and figured out specific ways to eat for my disorder. Then I got pregnant this time around and had to quit the maintenance diet because it's too severe for a growing baby. Of course, I've gained weight and honestly been really lax with my eating, probably the worst in any pregnancy (stressed mom of 3😳). I had my GD screen yesterday and results came in at 75(!!!). I was so afraid I wouldn't pass....I'm not on metformin and most days not even eating low carb😬. I can only attribute the excellent number with me consistently going to Stroller Strides and sweating my butt off. Intense physical activity works wonders to balance blood sugar and regulate hormones. I'm blown away by this good number! 🌟If you have PCOS or diabetes, I highly recommend you find a Stroller Strides or regular (multiple times every week) workout routine that keeps you moving and sweating in pregnancy 💖🙌🏼 #pcos #pregnancy #gestationaldiabetes #metformin #3rdtrimester #fit4mom #strollerstrides #fit4mombainbridgepoulsbo #hiit #workout #fitpregnancy
