Surf launches are something anyone can master. It’s all about timing and committing once you decide to make your move (kind of like life.)
Before you attempt a surf launch spend a few minutes to observe the timing of the incoming waves. You will notice there are intervals between the sets of swells/waves. This is your time to launch. Be sure to launch at the beginning of the interval.
Many beach areas provide a surf forecast (e.g. 2 feet at 14 secs, 3 feet at 12secs, etc.) With experience you will learn to identify optimal and dangerous conditions based on the forecast.
