🔥// MY RESPONSE \\ 🔥 I think my unassuming post calling out the bully's at shire city reignited the #freefirecider uproar, and my fear has morphed into empowerment. I'm TOTALLY STOKED about all the interest. -Joking around, I told my boo they messed with the wrong person, but all jokes aside, just go look at how much light has been shed on the concern in the last 24 hours. The issue sat silent for TOO long while three beloved herbalist where being sued for using a traditional name for a traditional tonic. I'm guilty of forgetting the robbery shire city was enacting on the herbal community by stealing our #firecider from us. Until they singled me out with threats and instructions on changing the name my Fyre Cyder potion. So in the spirit of herbalism, the healing practice which holds each other up and allows individuals to take medicine into their own hands, I'll be sending out a recipe for crafting your own immune tonic. Call it what you wish. The back will have a ditty on this issue and why you should label yours empowered and inspired fire cider 🔥 and now, back to distilling!! • Ps. Feel free to leave any edits you'd like to see in the recipe. Sorry their is no back side pic!
Thoughts of this yummy feast is what fueled my workout this morning. 🍳🍞🌱 I made purple sweet potato latkes topped with whole fat sour cream and homemade sauerkraut, sauted veggies, some farmhouse eggs and a bread made from only 4 ingredients compliments of @lilsipper. Amazing how tahini, eggs, fire cider and baking soda can taste so good. I topped it with some sunflower butter...just because! 🍁🌻💚

Yesterday was the new moon in Scorpio 🌚 and I made fire cider. I cannot tell you anymore why I make it on the new moon and refrigerate it on the full moon... there’s a reason but I’ve forgotten it. •But what is it for?!? Supports the immune system and can shorten the duration of cold and flu symptoms. It’s full of foods that are known for their anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, decongestant properties. •But how do I use it?!? Sip a shot of it (but go slow depending on how hot the peppers are). Do it a few times a week as a preventative OR when you feel that season-change funk come along. My FAV way to use it is to throw a shot into a 1/2 cup of beet kvass. Spicy 🌶, salty goodness... makes a solid base for a Bloody Mary. •And, finally, how do I make it?!? There are lots of recipes, but for the sake of ease, I roughly chop a handful (scientific measurement) of peeled garlic cloves, ginger, some horseradish, turmeric roots (careful- they stain!), a handful of hot peppers, and an onion. Throw it in a processor or blender with some quality apple cider vinegar. Blend it up. No need to be picky. We’ll strain it later anyway. Put it in a mason jar. Top it off with more ACV. Cover it w a lid. Throw it in the dark. Give it a shake every day or two. And on the full moon 🌕 - strain it and put the liquid in the fridge! • • • #patchouliandkraut#youngliving#yleo#wildfermentation#feral#guthealth#homestead#fermentation#chemicalfreehome#feralhomemakers#celticseasalt#sauerkraut#plantbased#naturalliving#applecidervinegar#chiles#garlic#essentialoil#horseradish#canning#yoga#traditionalfoods#kombucha#ginger#firecider #mastertonic#bloodymarys
