I’m there, baby 🙋🏼‍♀️😭 But I still have a lot of breathing to do so I have a conundrum. Has anyone found a magical exercise, pill, or contraption that makes all that weight disappear? No, you haven’t. Because different things work for different people. +
Everyone interested in improving their health and fitness should consider having what I call a “tool belt”. No, this isn’t just one more thing you need to buy to lose weight. Your “tool belt” is more like a group of methods that work to help you on your health journey. The tools that make up your tool belt can be things like a diet or exercise that compliments your body type, supplements that have proven to be beneficial for your long term goals, visual motivators that keep you moving toward your endgame. +
Whatever you decide to keep in your tool belt should be something you’ve done your research on. I encourage anyone who I talk with interested in making Plexus one of their health improvement tools to do their own research into the ingredients and their benefits. It’s one thing to trust someone else’s experiences but be sure you know what you’re getting into. Ask questions. Be persistent. Be curious. Investing in your health is a big thing and you should be certain that’s the step you want to take. Don’t just take my word for it! 🌈😉

You ever notice how the unhealthiest people are always the unhappiest people? .
Taking care of our body isn’t always about how we look 👀, how much we weigh, or even how many muscles we have. Taking care of ourselves, focusing on our physical health means SOOO much more.

It means we are better able to handle disappointments, frustrations and unknowns. And seriously, isn’t that just LIFE??? I know when I’m tired, not exercising or eating like 💩 ~ I am a hot, emotional mess. When we are already drained , emotions take over. I snap at those around me and more often than not end up in ugly tears (hello Friday night). But when I’m following a plan and treating my body right, I can handle almost anything calmly and rationally.

For me, this journey is not mine alone. It is for my family, my co-workers, my students and my friends. Because who wants to be around unhealthy, unhappy peeps??

It is so important to celebrate your journey each step of the way. Keep goal setting and dreaming but pause to appreciate how far you have come. I never imagined my arms could look like this. Or that I could feel strong and energetic. I have some great goals to finish out 2018 but I’m also thankful for where I am standing today.

Day 5️⃣: Split - I tried my best to do a split in a headstand. But honestly the top of my head is sore from the last few days and I could not keep my balance. So I thought this was the next best thing + helped me work on the depth of my splits 🙃
