Thanksgiving is next Thursday, and that means a lot of food. Turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce, pies, cakes, and much more. So, how do you avoid going overboard on Thanksgiving Day? ⠀
1️⃣ Always put more protein and veggies on your plate vs. carbs. For example, turkey and salad, or turkey and greens. ⠀
2️⃣ Choose one carb (yes, one). I make it a point not to eat potato salad, yams, and bread in one sitting! ⠀
3️⃣ Deserts? I love apple pie, so I eat one piece...yes one and that’s it. ⠀
4️⃣ Beverages? I have not water than anything. But, I definitely have a couple glasses of apple cider. 😋 ⠀
Bottom line, I what I want, but I don’t go overboard. Also, be prepared to exercise the next day to work it off. 👍🏽⠀
