India stands with UK in fight against terrorism, PM Modi expresses solidarity
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday condemned the terror attack in London and expressed grief saying, our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
Five people were killed and 40 others injured when a terrorist suspect mowed down pedestrians on a bridge and stabbed a police officer outside parliament complex before being shot dead by Scotland Yard officers in an incident inspired by 'international terrorism'Taking to micro-blogging site.
Modi tweeted, "Deeply saddened by the terror attack in London. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families." He further added, "At this difficult moment, India stands with UK in the fight against terrorism." India on Wednesday condemned the terror strike saying there is no place for terrorism in democracies and civilised societies. "India strongly condemns Westminster terrorist incident & condoles loss of life. No place in democracies & civilised societies for terrorism (sic)," Spokesperson, Ministry of External Affairs, Gopal Baglay tweeted.
