These are two different dresses - I ordered two because I knew the pattern would change slightly depending on the cut of the fabric, and me being me, I wanted as many flowers as possible 😂🌸
·
·
After trying them both on, I noticed one big difference: because of the pattern and colouring of the dress on the left, my stomach almost looks as if it's being framed. The one on the right disguises it. Is it just me, or is it kind of cute to have a dress that frames the feature you once hated the most and now celebrate as beautifully soft? I never even thought I would dare to wear a bodycon dress without having washboard abs first, let alone choose one that emphasises my tummy!

So which one do you guys think I should keep?! 💜💙💚🌈🌞
P.s. the dress is ASOS ✨

🌈Just a reminder to take every picture you see with a grain of salt. These two images were taken yesterday, 5 seconds apart. This is not a progress photo, it's not a transformation. When you're scrolling through your feed and you see a picture of someone who you think has a perfect body -- that picture is, most likely, one-sided. There's a real life version that most people don't post.
·
There is #nowrongway to have a body, we are ALL beautiful no matter what, but some images can be triggering.
·
So don't beat yourself up when you start to get triggered & compare. Instead, click through to that person's profile and unfollow. Don't voluntarily create body negativity for yourself. We already see it enough everywhere we go.
·
🌷Make your social media a safe place for you & your body.
·
I have thought a lot about these side-by-side pictures & why people post them. I post them not to "show my imperfections". I post them solely to shed light on the edited, filtered, photoshopped, pictures we see of "societally perfect bodies". We internalize those pictures & compare ourselves to them & feel badly about our bodies.
·
This is just a loving reminder that real life exists for everyone. And your bod in real life is 💯✔️🔥!!!
·
I just want all of you beautiful people to know that your self worth & beauty is not determined by another person's appearance. Your self worth & beauty comes from within!!!
·
Because I love you all & I don't want you to feel bad about your bodies 🙃😘.
·
👉🏻YOU ARE NEVER NOT BEAUTIFUL.

Mayim Bialik, star of Big Bang Theory and Blossom, tells the world why calling women "girls" is not okay. She is quick to note that men never get called "boys", and that using language that refers to a child, to denote an adult, only invalidates that person's standing in society. What do you think? Is this something you'll put into practice, or not?

I wrote "smile :)" on my mirror when I was 13 years old to remind myself that I'm beautiful, 8 years later and it's still there as a reminder 🌈🦋💗

this is disgusting. and why did they think it was okay to say "good girl" in their posters like they're dogs? Esther, Queen of Persia (c. 520 BC - 450 BC) faces a relatively large amount of feminist criticism for a woman who lived 2,500 years ago. In the Hebrew bible, the Persian king Ahasuerus (Xerxes I) ordered queen Vashti to come to him at a feast and show off her beauty. Vashti refused to come and the king's advisors warned that if the story got out, all the women in the empire would believe they too could disobey their husbands. It was decided, then, that Vashti be deposed and a new queen chosen.

The chosen maiden was Esther. She would go on to save her people, the Jews, from extermination in the empire by convincing Xerxes not to allow it. Some criticize Esther for not being feminist enough. The first queen, Vashti, was a "feminist icon" for asserting her independence and Esther underminded this by taking her place. The natural conclusion of this logic is that every woman in the empire should have refused to marry Xerxes.
