I want to tell you a story.
With all of these "Me Too" stories showing up all over social media, I feel called to share something with you. Our femininity has been a blessing and a curse since the day our soul decided to show up as a woman on this planet called Earth. Our soul had a contract and it knew the pain that our human self would endure, but it was necessary to be a Light Bringer into the darkness that exists in this life so we persisted, we were born, and we still to this day believe that there is more good than bad.
The darkness has showed up many times for me. The times when my uterus seemed like it was literally out to KILL me and my body was betraying me. The time when a sexual predator came up to me in a field while I was sunbathing alone, asked to massage me, and when I told him no he made sure I understood that he thought I would be much more beautiful if I lost 5 pounds. He was arrested on many counts a few weeks later. The time that a man climbed through my window as I was showering and left me no other option but to slam the window on his head and run for my life... I am lucky.
Do I blame all men for these individuals' actions? Fuck no. I see the most beautiful and profound expressions of masculinity around me all the time, in my partner, in my brothers, in my community, on social media. Do I let the poor decisions of imbalanced and disturbed men define me and how I express my femininity and my self? No.
There are times in my business when people get oh-so-offended when I speak of FEMININITY and MENSTRUATION and WOMB POWER. They think I am excluding masculinity, they think I am creating a "clique" they think that what I'm speaking of is dark magic and isn't just stupid but is totally made up bullshit.
Yes, people think this. Yes, they tell me this. They're entitled to their opinion.
The people that think this are also guaranteed to be the most silently scared of the power of a woman. They are so small and so weak and so terrified that their manipulation, their aggression, their overt dominance will not protect them from their worst nightmare.
