Saving the best for last, we stopped at a lake that lies deep in the heart of the Dolomites on our way back to Munich. On a random tip from a friend, we drove out of the way to see the Karersee. I've never seen a lake quite like this before. It left me speechless. The color of the water looked unreal. The mountains reflecting off the surface of the water left me staring at it awestruck. It was one helluva place to end a roadtrip. I highly recommend this lake to anyone that happens to be in that part of the world. It's truly incredible.. Shortly after we got back on the road for the final stretch we drove straight into the stormy weather. We were lucky to only encounter bad weather once on the trip and it was only for a short while. So all in all the trip was a success. We drove through 5 countries, climbed, hiked, camped, swam, SUPed, and had countless other adventures. Without planning a thing, we managed to make it a pretty epic experience.
That's all for this European roadtrip series. Stay tuned for the posts from my upcoming wanderings through the United States. #neverstopexploring #theworldisyourplayground
