Every now and then my career sets challenges in front of me that test my patience and resolve. As a leader of people, sometimes it’s hard to find the strength to continue pushing. When these times come I tend to open one of my favorite books by Dale Carnegie. Today, I opened it to find a photo of the team that taught me so much.
If you know me, you know I don’t believe “things happen for a reason” and I firmly believe that you have more control over the outcome of your life than you think. This moment challenges that belief; this photo and the page that it was stuck between spoke to me. It’s as if my past self knew this day would come and intentionally placed this here so that I would find the courage to keep fighting a good fight the right way. I’m so blessed to have worked with so many unique and beautiful people the past 8 years.
A Drop of Honey.
