Happy Diwali y'all. Even though most of you don't know me, I know all you NOFRA gangs. I won't be here for long and would like to appreciate how beautiful our colony is. True that it may not be the most perfect, but the memories made here would stay with all us Fauji Brats forever! The efforts the admin office puts in to decorate our naval society during festivals is humongous. They may not be the most efficient when it comes to renovating the buildings (BELIEVE ME, IK DAT) but they make sure that each person, as a member of NOFRA, feels welcome and joins in with the fun spirit of Diwali. It is a time in this colony where people are their happiest, visiting close friends, course mates, reuniting with friends they've known from other stations. Even the kids and the teenagers enjoy as sweets are being given out and you walk the beautifully lit streets way into the night having a blast with friends. There is an aura of positivity and love spread through several hands as we light diyas to brighten up the night and decorate our houses. As we settle into our beds at the end of the night, the feeling of satisfaction to that amount of self control it takes lulls us to sleep as we watch the flickering light of the diyas succumb to the darkness. Happy Diwali to you all! Remember that in the darkest of nights shines the brightest of lights. Peace.
Also please excuse the typos. I'm too excited for the Festival of Lights!!
