Protein is one of the most important things out can have on point for muscle growth and muscle sustainability. Sure, strength training can help maintain and even stimulate protein synthesis, but only when protein is present from food intake. Without it, the system becomes catabolic.(Tipton, Wolfe et al 2001)

I think one of the biggest errors in the diets of people trying to lose fat or gain muscle is the overall protein intake. Taking in the proper amount can be tough if you have no clue how many grams certain foods have.

You will not notice immediate results by eating the proper amount of protein. You need to be consistent at it.

Will you always get the perfect amount? No.
Does it matter that much? Over a long time, yes.

One of the most commonly asked questions I get is about my vascularity. Everyone wants to know how do I get so vascular.

It's about carrying low fat. Just the same as when asked about getting your ABs to show, veins show more with a lower body fat percentage.
Now there are nitrates that help give you a pump and increase your vascularity but to maintain it outside of the gym you have to have a low body fat percentage.
So remember when dieting it's not about weight loss it's about fat loss.

I also look at my schedule and plan out when I can get my workouts in.

All these things allow me to not rely on just hope.

When it comes to losing weight people are usually looking for a quick fix, a way that will make them lose fat very quickly when they have years of bad habits behind them.😒

Usually it’s the same type of people who focus on doing excessive cardio, doing detox diets, taking pills, eat only 'clean', etc. 🙄

They go into it without understanding basics of fitness and nutrition, and often give up when they don’t see the progress.

Instead of exhausting yourself with too much cardio and spending money on expensive pills, supplements, fit teas, etc., incorporate weight lifting into your routine, eat enough protein, and most importantly, make sure that you're in a calorie deficit, because without one you won't lose any weight.🏋🏿‍♀️

Lifting weights means you will build muscle or at least maintain your current muscle mass and you'll look much better when you lose fat 😃

You can still do cardio to burn some extra calories, of course, but it is not crucial. As for pills, fit teas, etc please don’t waste your money!!🧐

Listen, expectations are so much different than a reality.

You might have expectation to lose X lbs within just few week. The reality is that you will fail few times (that’s totally normal) before you reach your goal.
.
So next time when you get frustrated with your slow progress think about this: any progress is a progress. Doesn’t matter how big or small.

Whatever your goal is, keep trying. When you fail, notice what went wrong, try again, make corrections, try again.

Literally my 2 favorite activities 😆
I love to plan things! 🤓
I spend just a small bit of time every Sunday planning out my entire week - everything from work activities, to workouts, meetings, hikes, and friend time… Who else loves to plan?!
This just saves me SO much time during my week so I have 0 excuses not to get in everything I want/need to do! This also leaves very small amount of time for BS #getintomycalendarifyouwanttohangout #timemanagement #goalgetter
