SERVING SIZES ❌ VS ✅ Read Below! ⬇️🔥

Okay let’s talk serving sizes, and what better food to do it on than the most calorie dense spread there is 😂 Basically we all love peanut butter, but if you didn’t know, it’s actually laden with calories, even though it is ‘healthy’ it is still easy to over indulge 🤔 ➖
❌ On the left side of this picture, I have 1 Serving of peanut butter (or what some might say is ‘1 Serving’) BUT, that spoonful is actually 45 grams of peanut butter! That’s 3 x the serving size! Yet it doesn’t look like that much, which is why people struggle to get their serving sizes right and end up overeating without even noticing, they simply don’t know the calorie density of certain foods 👎

✅ On the right side of the picture, I have 15g of peanut butter, which is what’s approved by the FDA as 1 Serving, containing 96 calories, but look how little I have on the spoon! That wouldn’t feed a mouse 🐭, but there is a way to enjoy peanut butter without the guilt, simply buy a food scale, weigh out the serving you want (I usually have 15-20g) and then you’ll know for sure that you’re not going overboard and eating a million calories in 1 sitting 😂 It’s great for bulking, but when you’re cutting, not so much 🤣 You may want to opt for a lighter spread (jam, low calorie hazelnut spread, marmalade) if you’re cutting for more volume, but if you like your peanut butter, enjoy it! Jut fit it in your macros 😉✅

When it comes to losing weight nutrition is EVERYTHING. Do it right and you feel like your not even dieting, do it wrong and you give up within hours. Here's 3 tips to help you lose weight and stay on track 👇 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌠 Volume, Volume, Volume: if you know me you will know this is a BIG one for me. I like to eat voluminous low calorie foods because they keep me feeling full and also mean I can eat more throughout the day 🤗 The way I like to think of it is if you eat a mars bar it will cost you 250kcal and god knows how many carbs and fats. If you eat a whole bag of spinach it will only cost you like 60kcal. I don't know about you but a mars bar won't leave me feeling very full but a whole bag of spinach will. Other low cal voluminous options include: broccoli, egg whites, courgettes, cauliflower and air popped pop corn 🍿 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌠 Get tracking: to lose weight you will need to be in a calorie deficit and the best way to ensure you remain there is by tracking everything you eat 📈 To ensure even greater results you will want to break the calories down into specific macros. A good starting point would be 1-1.5g of protein per lb bodyweight, 0.5g fat per lb of body weight and the remaining calories would come from carbs. Keeping protein high will help ensure you maintain muscle mass during your cut and will also help you feel fuller for longer 💪 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌠 Treat yourself: we are not robots so don't be afraid to treat yourself from time to time. It's all about balance and finding something that works for you. Some swear by cheat meals and others have a small amount of what they love each day #iifym. When taking the iifym approach try keep calories from treats under 20% of the calories consumed that day. You may also want to choose lower cal options as this could make the difference between feeling full and feeling hungry. Are You Missing The Key Fat Loss Essentials? -
Sure you can eat a balanced diet and workout but if the scale isn't moving, you could be missing a few essential components of losing weight. -

Simple tricks such as choosing a smaller plate or cutting your servings in half can lead to great results. -
Use this method if calorie counting is too meticulous for you.

Something that lots and lots of people underestimate is the importance of food choices when it comes to hunger. Yes, calories are king and macros come second. But if those calories and macros come from foods with little to no nutritional value, you're not going to control your hunger.

These 9 foods will definitely help you control your hunger. Black coffee and espresso because caffeine has an appetite suppressing working. Broccoli and oatmeal because they're high in fibre. Protein powder, Greek yogurt and tuna because they're high in protein and these will definitely fill you up!

Lastly, Halo Top. This will be an awesome alternative to ice cream if you're really craving it. Do I advise you to eat a pint of Halo top a day? That's probably not a smart idea. One or two a week? That's completely cool!

I am always bringing up the topic of being consistent with your workout and diet but it seems to never stick.
-
One thing I notice with my clients, friends and family they are always looking for that magic workout or diet for fat loss and always ask me “what diet am I on or what exercise am I doing”.
-
Let’s make this clear there is not one single exercise or diet that’s going to get that dreaded back fat off or give you that six pack you are always chasing.
-
When it is all said and done it comes down to what you can be consistent with. Whether, that be keto for all you enthusiasts out there. If it works for you and you can be consistent with it then go for it. Of course it’s going to get that fat off but long term is your health going to suffer 🧐 and for all you CrossFit fans out there. Yes, CrossFit can get you amazingly fit and sometimes strong but can most people be consistent with it? NO, because anyone that knows Olympic lifting it ain’t easy and requires some skill. Me personally I like boxing and lifting heavy shit so that’s what I am going to do. Diet wise? I’ve never been able to adhere to a so called “diet” I just make sure I get all my daily intake of veggies, fruit and dairy. If I’m looking to lose some fat I just be consistently looking into being in an energy deficit.

How I Live The Best Of Both Worlds With My Body. .

Burn fat or Build muscle? I chose both. .

I been there. When I say there, I am talking about trying to become my leanest and biggest for summer to look my best just to become disappointed for not hitting my goal because I didn’t build all the muscle I wanted from taking the shred down and then build approach.
This summer I took a new approach, became a vegetarian and ate SO more carbs! Good ones of course, with a veggie pizza here and there. I just changed 3 simple things with my body weight workouts and carb intake.
Here is my SIMPLE process:
1st Determine your carb intake based off your activity level. •High-intensity exercises / endurance athletes 200-250 grams a day (if goal is to lose weight/belly fat) if you want to build lean muscle you need a new approach (my approach) which is 350-400 grams 🦁 •Moderately active- you want to Intentionally consume paleo carbs 100-150 grams per day •Non active - sedentary - your impact carbs should be under 50 grams for 6/7 days of the week
2nd overload progressions through Lifting HEAVY & MAXing out on complex workouts 3x weekly
3rd Be happier,leaner and bigger
