Many people need to get their workouts in first thing in the morning, and if you’re one of them, you might wonder what, if anything, you should eat beforehand. I know people who are at the gym as early as 4:30 in the morning, in which case it’s understandable that the thought of a big pre workout meal would be less than appetizing.

I realize there are plenty of people who train fasted early in the morning and do just fine. However, I still think it’s beneficial to eat a little something beforehand, especially if you plan to train with any intensity.
#
However, that doesn’t mean you need to sit down to a big breakfast of bacon and eggs before you head off to the gym. In this case, combining an easily digestible source of protein and carbs is your best bet. And it doesn’t even have to be a full meal. Maybe it’s 1/2 a scoop of protein powder or 1/2 a cup of cottage cheese and a piece of fruit or a few rice cakes. Just enough so you have some fuel in your system.

These are some ideas for foods that shouldn’t be too heavy in the stomach or make you sick during your workout. Play around with mixing and matching the proteins and carbs to find what works best for you.

The only caveat here would be if you are doing only cardio, or if you are someone who has a significant amount of weight to lose and therefore plenty of reserves to draw from.

🤔🔥Whot, touching on 2 topics in one post? YES!!! You know, burning fat, or building muscle, is actually pretty simple math, do this, this and this, and if you do it consistently and add time to the equation, you will win.

🔥So, how do you burn fat? You focus on your nutrition first, you need to eat less calories than you need. Period. You also need to eat a lot of protein (1gram/lbs of bodyweight) so focussing on your nutrition first is the best thing to do. After this, you focus on strength training, the benefits of strength training in a fat loss phase ARE NUMEROUS and I won’t go into them, but it should be your second priority. After you nailed all of this, you might add in some cardio. A LOT of people think they have to TONS of cardio to burn fat. NOPE. Just focus on your nutrition.

💪How to build muscle? You focus on your strength training first. Without creating a stimulus to your body, your body is not going to adapt. So if you were a client of mine and you would come to me saying, Dennis I want to build muscle. I would plan as much training sessions in your week as we could (without burning you out of course) because we need to create an adaptation!! After that, it comes down to eating a butt load of food, and if you think you’re full, you sometimes have to eat even more food. Food is your friend whilst trying to put on muscle mass. You need around 300-500 calories more than you burn in order to build muscle. So yeah, FOOD.

It takes a little more then “destroying abs” to actually get a six pack. Any body can do sit ups and crunches for days, but to really get the nickname “abasoures rex” a clean diet is a great way to start them off. .

I have always had a six pack. But tbh it was more of a fat pack 😅. When I switched to a cleaner diet (along with proper fat burner training) I was able to shred down fat in my core section for more definition in my #sixpack . Like just in the past few months, I just got veins in my lower core section because of the cleaner diet combined with #crossfit .
