Strategi Nutrisi Optimalkan kebugaran di bulan PUASA

1. Bagi yang ingin menurunkan lemak tubuh, lakukan cardio intensitas medium 15-20 menit sebelum berbuka.
2. Saat berbuka, berbukalah dengan buah (setara maksimal 1/3 piring) daripada dengan minuman bergula-pasir.
3. Setelah 15 menit, meal berbuka dengan komposisi: - Lauk tanpa goreng, 1 telapak tangan dengan jari. - 1 mangkok sayuran (sebaiknya terdiri dari 2 atau lebih jenis sayuran) - 1 kepal nasi merah / ubi/ singkong / roti atau gandum/ pasta gandum atau nasi putin apabila tdk ada yg lain
4. Sesudah sholat Taraweh, karena sdh malam dekat dg waktu istirahat, apbl tetap mau latihan, lakukan hanya latihan beban, maksimal 20-30 menit. Beban medium, istirahat antar set diperpendek. (Bisa 3-4x per minggu)
5. Sesudah latihan beban, konsumsi lagi meal 1/2 ukuran meal berbuka di point no.3.
4. Sahur: konsumsi meal dengan komposisi seperti meal berbuka point no.3.
5. Aneka tips lain: - Batasi/hindari konsumsi micin (MSG), gorengan, dan pedas yang akan memicu rasa haus dan kering tenggorokan lebih awal ( terutama saat sahur)
- Batasi/hindari konsumsi minuman berkafein, agar tidak mengganggu tidur yang lebih terbatas. - Pedas & kafein juga berpotensi mengganggu lambung, apalagi saat berpuasa lebih rentan asam lambung naik. - Di samping itu, zat tsb di atas bersifat mengeluarkan cairan tubuh (diuretik), membuat tubuh rentan dehidrasi.
6. Bila merasa ada gangguan lambung, coba atasi dulu dengan suplementasi enzim pencernaan daripada dengan obat maag.

And on my other side of life... Fellow MegaLifers, we've conquered Day Two! It was close to Hel (yes, I meant to leave the l out) living on bread and water until dinner (and if you know me, I would rather not eat bread at all). But I made it through school!

Sorry for the bad angle. But...let's get through this @wearemegalife ! We have yet to see what a week of prayer and fasting can do. Keep pressing in!

Just completed a 5 day fast only drinking water. Here's how it went:
36 hours in - Started to feel tired, minor headache (possibly from coffee withdrawal), drank 2.1L of water and slept 8.5hrs (including 4hrs of deep sleep, I normally get under 2hrs).
60 hours in - Felt more tired than yesterday, like I was coming down with the flu, hands and feet started to get cold. Muscles ached, esp on the calves. Got lots of sleep, 11hr+, drank 2.8L. Energy level during the day is high and mental clarity started to change. Felt calm.
84 hours in - Slept over 9hrs, hands and feet still cold, resting heart rate increased from 56bpm few days ago to 64bpm, small headache, felt light headed when getting up too quickly
108 hours in - Felt the hunger a bit more, not sleeping as much anymore, 💩x3 for the first time in 72 hrs. Energy level was great.
114 hours in - started the process of breaking the fast with turmeric and ginger tea, unsweetened Greek yoghurt, veggie juice.
Lost 3.6kg from start to finish. Felt great to reset the body, rediscovered a new appreciation for food. Looking forward to doing one day fast a week! 👌
