Just completed a 5 day fast only drinking water. Here's how it went:
36 hours in - Started to feel tired, minor headache (possibly from coffee withdrawal), drank 2.1L of water and slept 8.5hrs (including 4hrs of deep sleep, I normally get under 2hrs).
60 hours in - Felt more tired than yesterday, like I was coming down with the flu, hands and feet started to get cold. Muscles ached, esp on the calves. Got lots of sleep, 11hr+, drank 2.8L. Energy level during the day is high and mental clarity started to change. Felt calm.
84 hours in - Slept over 9hrs, hands and feet still cold, resting heart rate increased from 56bpm few days ago to 64bpm, small headache, felt light headed when getting up too quickly
108 hours in - Felt the hunger a bit more, not sleeping as much anymore, 💩x3 for the first time in 72 hrs. Energy level was great.
114 hours in - started the process of breaking the fast with turmeric and ginger tea, unsweetened Greek yoghurt, veggie juice.
Lost 3.6kg from start to finish. Felt great to reset the body, rediscovered a new appreciation for food. Looking forward to doing one day fast a week! 👌
