these second hand jeans were such a find, in my local charity shop, which i only went into to hide from the rain, on my way to the hairdressers 😆🌧
this bodysuit was from the last shop that i ever did at missguided. i am so over fast fashion. i'm privileged enough to be able to find things that fit me nicely, in charity shops and on sites like depop & ebay, so that is exactly what i'll be doing from now on. no more giving my money to these, frankly, gross companies who exploit EVERYONE in the process, from the people who mine the materials to the underpaid staff in their factories.
think of all of the clothes that are already in existence... there is NO shortage whatsoever and yet we continue to pump out more and more each season, each week, each day. then, when they're not wanted anymore, they're tossed aside to further pollute our planet.
i have a choice and no longer contributing to the fast fashion pandemic is something i feel passionate about.
with this in mind, if you're in or around birmingham on the 7th october, there's going to be a #vintagekilosale at the @custardfactorydigbeth! 1 kilo of clothes, all your picks, for £15!!! i've never been before but i am hyped!!! if any of you b'ham babes are interested in going i'd be more than happy to organise a meet up, just drop me a message and let's back away from fast fashion together!
there's an inspiring and eye opening documentary on netflix about this subject called @truecostmovie. i'd highly recommend giving it a watch!
