PRESEASON RECAP: Packers WR Jake Kumerow caught 3-of-3 targets for 114 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers.
Kumerow topped his first preseason game where he caught 3 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown with another great performance Thursday.
I never familiarized myself with this guy before the offseason, but he’s done nothing but impress all throughout camp.
Not only that, he’s also earning the trust of Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is a huge factor in the offensive decision making in Green Bay, so if Aaron wants him, Aaron’s likely going to get him.
Standing at 6’5”, Kumerow is a big target, but also has some breakaway speed. He’s got some solid hands and he does the little things right.
Unfortunately, Kumerow will miss some time after suffering a sprained SC joint in his shoulder. The injury isn’t serious, and he’ll be ready for Week 1. Now it just comes down to whether or not he’s on the team in Week 1, and after his standout performances throughout the entire offseason, I expect him to make the team.
